The Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering will host the Fourth Annual Honors Convocation Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from at 6:00 p.m. in the Richard C. Tam Alumni Center, Marietta Tiberti Grand Hall.
The ceremony celebrates the academic and intellectual values of the college honoring students that achieve the Dean's List, receive scholarships made possible by gracious community donors, and or department awards. Faculty and Staff are recognized for their annual contributions to the college, university, and the community.
Community donors and college advisory board members are encouraged to attend the invitation only pre-reception beginning at 4:00 p.m. on the second floor of the Alumni Center. Reservations appreciated.(christine.wallace@unlv.edu)
Guest seating begins at 5:30 p.m. Students and faculty should report to the Thomas T. Beam Engineering Complex, Building A the Great Hall by 5:30 p.m. in order to participate in the processional over to the Alumni Center. Faculty are encouraged to wear regalia for this ceremony. To ensure proper seating for all guests, reservations are appreciated. (christine.wallace@unlv.edu) Current students and graduates of the college will be featured during the ceremony.
A brief dessert reception will follow the ceremony at 7:00 p.m. in the lobby of the Alumni Center.
