January 1 is not only New Year's Day, it is the start of the higher education financial aid and scholarship season.
The Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering encourages all students-those currently enrolled and prospective students to complete the following applications no later than February 15, 2009. (Note if completed after February 15, your application is considered after those candidates meeting the priority deadline of February 15).
The financial aid and scholarship process for the college involves three steps:
1) Complete the UNLV scholarship application: http://financialaid.unlv.edu
2) Complete the College of Engineering scholarship application:http://engineering.unlv.edu/students/prospective-undergrad.html
3) Complete the FAFSA: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov
We also encourage you to exhaust your resources to find additional scholarships-banks, faith-based organizations, your parent/guardian employers, and private agency scholarships listed on the UNLV Financial Aid site.
